NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MONTH

The country will commemorate the 28th National Children's Month under the theme "Sama-samang Itaguyod Ang Karapatan ng Bawat Bata sa Panahon ng Pandemya!"this month.

The purpose of the event is to promote the protection of all children and their rights, to provide practical support to parents and caregivers on how to care for children and themselves during the pandemic, to empower children to protect themselves and report abuse, and to guide LGUs in efficiently carrying out their expected roles and functions.

Every October, the Philippines observes National Children's Month. It is time to recognize the value of Filipino children as the most valuable assets in society, as mandated by Presidential Proclamation 267. The month-long celebration, observed by government and non-government organizations throughout the Philippines, is also a campaign to end violence against children and promote their physical, emotional, moral, spiritual, and intellectual well-being.

Stairway commemorated the month-long event by hosting a series of workshops on Children's Rights and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention for Stairway scholars and their parents. A team traveled to Manila to establish Child Friendly Spaces in ten police stations throughout Metro Manila. Throughout the month of October, the children at Stairway participated in a variety of activities ranging from learning about foreign countries to creating clay ovens.

My Lovely Story In This Perplexing World

3RD QUARTER: REFLECTION

          As the third quarter comes to a close, it's difficult to believe we're approaching the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. Even if the school year is approaching to an end, it is still extremely difficult and stressful because, due to the pandemic, we are currently studying at a different phase, online or modular learning. Despite the fact that I should be happy because, after returning from a much-needed break and passing three challenging periods, we will now enter the fourth marking period full steam ahead, I can't help but feel sad and anxious.
