WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT

  International Women's Day is a global celebration of women's achievements in social, economic, cultural, and political fields. The day also acts as a rallying cry for achieving gender parity as soon as possible. There is a lot of activity around the world as people come together to celebrate women's achievements or march for women's equality. It is a day on which women are recognized for their achievements regardless of their national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, or political backgrounds. Since those early years, International Women's Day has taken on a new worldwide significance for women in both rich and poor countries.

        Since then, the Philippines' Women's Month Celebration has provided as a forum to commemorate women's accomplishments while also addressing current and emerging issues, concerns, challenges, and obligations related to women's empowerment and gender equality. Because the COVID-19 pandemic is still raging, this year's National Women's Month celebration is unlike previous years. Because the government forbids face-to-face interactions and public meetings, the celebration was done online, especially as the number of positive patients or cases continues to rise. This year's remembrance focuses on women's contributions to the epidemic's fight, as well as gender issues that the outbreak has exacerbated.

        Women's empowerment is a crucial step toward overall gender equality. We are directly contributing to our society's future by allowing children to feel safe and develop their skills. Despite the fact that Ladies' Month is past, we must remember to honor the ladies in our lives. As citizens, let us strive to be well-informed and thoughtful. We should not dismiss someone's rights and ability based on their gender. Women's empowerment should be supported, or we might just recognize women as important members of our communities.

3RD QUARTER: REFLECTION

          As the third quarter comes to a close, it's difficult to believe we're approaching the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. Even if the school year is approaching to an end, it is still extremely difficult and stressful because, due to the pandemic, we are currently studying at a different phase, online or modular learning. Despite the fact that I should be happy because, after returning from a much-needed break and passing three challenging periods, we will now enter the fourth marking period full steam ahead, I can't help but feel sad and anxious.
