Quality Education During COVID-19 Pandemic

The pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has caused an unprecedented crisis in all areas. This emergency has resulted in the massive closure of face-to-face activities of educational institutions in over 190 countries in order to prevent the virus's spread and mitigate its impact. To date, the main psychological impact on public mental health has been increased levels of stress or anxiety. However, as new measures and effects are implemented, particularly online classes/modules and their effects on many people's usual activities, routines, or livelihoods, levels of loneliness, depression, harmful alcohol and drug use, and self-harm or suicidal behavior are expected to rise. Many debates have raged over the resumption of classes in the face of the pandemic. Many are advocating for the education sector to skip the school year so that no student falls behind, while many parents are still curious about how remote learning will work. It's no secret that many Filipino stud...

Towards a more resilient coronavirus-prone Philippines

Towards a more resilient coronavirus-prone Philippines The COVID-19 pandemic presented numerous challenges to the world. Almost every country in the world had to go into lockdown to prevent the spread of the disease. The Philippines is one of the countries that implemented the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) on March 15, 2020. The ECQ did assist in raising awareness and preventing the spread of the virus. The Philippines is already healing; the number of cases is no longer increasing; however, we must continue to follow the government's rules and regulations, particularly the health protocols, because the virus is still spreading. We are still fighting the disease and all of the challenges posed by this pandemic.

A letter to the President

I just wanted to say hello and thank you to the president. Good day, sir! How are you doing, Mr. President? I hope everything is going well for you. Despite the pandemic, you are doing an excellent job, as is your administration. I'm here to offer some suggestions and express some concerns. I know we're all affected by the pandemic, but please bear with me/us. Because they are all locked up inside their homes, many teenagers are stressed and mentally unstable or mentally ill. They're all worried about how they'll survive the pandemic and how they'll study or learn something during it. We are the "pag-asa ng bayan," but how will they bring hope to this country if they are hopeless as a result of the pandemic? My concern is that parks, tourist attractions, and shopping malls are open while the main necessity of the youth/student; schools, is not. Why don't you let us go back to face-to-face classes? We are all aware that teen pregnancy is on the rise, a...

My Lovely Story In This Perplexing World

My name is Winalyn V. Cabbab, 15 y/o. I lived in this Barrio from the town of Santa , province of Ilocos Sur, called "Nagpanaoan". I have one sibling; basically we're two sisters, I'm the oldest the tallest and sometimes act like a mom. My mom is a Teacher in Grade 1. My dad's a Farmer also a former OFW,fisherman to be exact My life isn't perfect; I made a lot of mistakes at a young age, and I guess that's part of growing up. My life became more boring during the pandemic, but I learned valuable lessons. It bothers me sometimes when I abruptly cut people out of my life, because I might end up with no one and be alone. Being alone isn't that difficult because it can provide you with peace of mind; what's difficult is feeling alone. If being alone means having peace of mind, then I enjoy being alone and would prefer to be alone. As I previously stated, life is difficult, but it becomes even more difficult when a pandemic strikes. To be honest, I ...

Pandemic in Christmas

In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, how does one enjoy Christmas this year? This is most likely one of the few times in modern history when we are urged to enjoy Christmas in its purest form, in its simplicity. We are preoccupied with rules on how to enjoy Christmas this year– with just members of the family who live in the same household, to continue wearing masks, to observe social separation, or to wash hands frequently– due to the attention on the Covid virus. For our mutual security and safety, we are being prevented from visiting one another. This year, we won't be able to experience the normal Christmas joy and mirth that we have come to expect. Covid, on the other hand, should not detract from our Christmas celebrations! This season, let us spread even more hope, peace, joy, and love! And it is here that I am reminded of our Savior's birth. The Christmas story is a straightforward one. Only his mother and father were present when our Lord and Savior was born in a ma...

The purpose of the event is to promote the protection of all children and their rights, to provide practical support to parents and caregivers on how to care for children and themselves during the pandemic, to empower children to protect themselves and report abuse, and to guide LGUs in efficiently carrying out their expected roles and functions. Every October, the Philippines observes National Children's Month. It is time to recognize the value of Filipino children as the most valuable assets in society, as mandated by Presidential Proclamation 267. The month-long celebration, observed by government and non-government organizations throughout the Philippines, is also a campaign to end violence against children and promote their p...

Protect the Environment

The natural surroundings and conditions in which we live are referred to as the environment. Unfortunately, this environment is now under grave danger. Human activities are almost completely to blame for this problem. These human activities have undoubtedly wreaked havoc on the environment. Most importantly, this devastation puts the survival of all living creatures on Earth in jeopardy. As a result, environmental preservation is critical.Environment-Friendly Strategies First and foremost, tremendous emphasis should be paid to tree planting. A tree is, above all, a source of oxygen. Unfortunately, numerous trees have been felled as a result of building. This will undoubtedly reduce the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere. The more trees that are planted, the more oxygen is produced. As a result, planting more trees will improve the quality of life. People must also pay attention to forest conservation. Forests are extremely important to the environment. Deforestation, on the other ...
